Ben Gilchriest

There was an interesting book that explored this concept in early 2000 (pretty much as the spike was going upwards it seems) called The Atomic Corporation. Whilst some of its predictions haven't really come through the idea that we're moving from the large enterprise, hierachy model of business to a more individual, but collaborative approach where people coalesce around a problem, solve it, and then disperse again, does seem to be coming true. This was the core of the book. It is a few years old now but definitely recommend having a quick read of it.

Thanks Ben. I read it when it came out and have exchanged a few emails with the authors (who are/were Ernst & Young partners). I think it would be a good time for them to bring out a second edition.
